Turkey is a wide country with colorful culture accommodated some of the most ancient cities and some of the miracles of the modern technologies in its borders. Its educational system covers all fields of knowledge and all degrees that you can imagine. Of course not all of them has the same quality. What schools and colleges are the best according to the world requirements?

  1. Sabanci University.

    SU is private business-led university, located in Istanbul. It was established in 1994 after an international conference where issues and techniques of higher education were discussed. The university accepted its first class of students in 1999 and now they count more than 4,000 per year. As it’s still developing, SU offers 13 undergraduate and 41 graduate programs; along with 10 minor programs. This modern college stresses on the technology use and adopting of the best practices that world class universities have.

  2. Bilkent University.

    The name of the university means “The city of science” and it is the first private university in the country. It’s located in Ankara and it was established in 1984. Times Higher Education Rankings put the university on 1st place in Turkey and in the top 250 schools on Earth. It has 13 faculties and undergraduate programs and various graduate ones that reach the level of PhD. BU has 3 campuses and the richest university library in Turkey. Every year it welcomes around 13,000 students and its teaching staff is over a thousand people.

  3. Middle East Technical University.

    METU is also called ODTU in Turkish. It was created in 1956. This public university is located in Ankara and its specialization is in natural sciences and engineering. It has over 30,000 students and 2,500 teaching staff. It is also one of the little universities of the world that can brag with natural campus lake – Eymir – and a forest. METU’s 40 undergraduate programs are spread in 5 faculties and the master and the doctorate programs count respectively 97 and 62 within 5 graduate schools.

  4. Istanbul University.

    This is the oldest university in Turkey, established in 1453 in Istanbul. It’s main campus lies in the historical Fatih district in the city’s European part. It has over 85,000 students and over 6,000 people academic staff; 17 faculties and 5 campuses.
